I will rest assured that my degree will not only be a proof of my knowledge in my field of specialization but also how at Symbiosis ‘The World is One Family’ and everyone is respected and welcomed here
Borrowing from a quote, “there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but he must take it because conscience tells him it is right”. When I started my journey at SCMC, things seemed impossible to me because I had never travelled far away from my home town in Uganda. I had to associate myself with strangers on a foreign continent in the foreign country of India.
At times, I felt like giving up because of mountainous tasks like compensating for missed tests, assignments, owing to my late admission, and it being that I missed home badly. However, inside me there was always a voice that argued with me not to give up on my decision because in the end I was going to benefit from it.
Leaving the above, I have found joy, family, counselors, guardians and amazing people that have contributed a lot to my stay and well-being at college. Going back to my first semester where it seemed hopeless not only due to the tasks on my plate but also because everything was so different that what I was brought up with. But in a moment of confusion, I met with Triveni Mathur Ma’am who I will refer to as my Guardian Angel because she always showed me the right way to take, answered all my questions that seemed hard to tackle.
And the one thing I will never forget is that moment when I went to speak with her about my concerns regarding the missed assignments and tests and she comforted me that everything will be fine and that I will graduate. With such a warm heart, I felt at home. Not forgetting the Professor at the shooting floor who gave me the liberty to ask him any doubts in Audio Visual. Those warm words of his proved to me that he was a good person.
I came to realize that SCMC is full of people ready to guide you. I will rest assured that my degree will not only be a proof of my knowledge in my field of specialization but also how at Symbiosis ‘The World is One Family’ and everyone is respected and welcomed here.
