ITS Badminton Women’s Doubles: ’22 FOR THE WIN!

1

“I liked it; we could have played much better the first time [we] got paired together, and our synchronization improved after the second set. We did good for the time we had, we had to put a lot of things in at the last minute, but we managed to score decently.”

Eesha Javadekar and Shubha Singh from Batch 2023 managed to showcase synchronization and coordination like never before during the women’s doubles. Despite such a strong stance against the team of Batch 2024, Tarishi Singhal and Vanshika Kumar managed to snatch the title in the first match with scores of 21-14 and 21-14. Tarishi, the Badminton team captain for Batch 2024, said. “Both the girls played well, but I think we practiced enough, which was fruitful. Vanshika took power shots, and I was always there whenever she needed to be backed.” A good leader always backs their army – exactly what captain Tarishi swore by.

Unfortunately, the winning streak ended there for the Batch 2024 as Tanaya and Malavika of 2022 took over the court by storm. They managed to swiftly take the winning lead over both the 2023 and 2024, scoring 21-5, 21-6, and 21-17, 21-3, respectively. Their skills and patience while playing on the court were exhilarating and very engaging, keeping the audience hooked.

Malavika and Tanaya definitely brought glory to their batch, helping to further the efforts and talents of all passionate and talented players of their team through the sport.
