“The beginning of the journey was a little tough but I have come a long way…”
SCMC has played the biggest role in shaping me and providing me with the best training possible, to be able survive in the Media industry. At first, I was blown away by the course structure and lost all confidence. I wondered if it was even possible for me to make it to the last semester. The mainstream college life that I am sure all of us expected was only partially true. I have taken back a very important lesson from the institution and that is “Kaam ke time kaam aur masti ke time masti”. College made me learn that if I were able to balance these two equations, then I will definitely succeed in whatever I want to achieve and so far it has been true.
I am glad the institution was strict and compelled us to follow the rules and regulations and because of this, I have grown in these 3 years, as a person and as a professional. I see myself in a different light now, as a strong, confident girl, ready to take up all the opportunities that come my way and to be able to deliver my best. Keeping up with assignment deadlines, following the dress code, abiding by the rules and most importantly, attendance. All of these have played a crucial role in making me what I am today. The faculty has been the backbone and the strength through out these three years in guiding us back to the right path whenever we took to any sort of distraction. It was always very easy to approach any Faculty or Staff without hesitation. There was never really a communication gap between the students and professors and the bonding only increased as the semesters passed by.
Sagar Sir’s classes got me curious about History like never before. The beginning of the journey was a little tough but I have come a long way and I would love to thank everybody who contributed in nurturing and shaping me these three years. My Faculty, my friends and most importantly my Director, Prof. Anupam Siddhartha, for his constant guidance and immense knowledge that has helped me become so passionate about what I love doing. I will work very hard, achieve my goals, grow with every opportunity and make everyone associated with the institute very proud.
