It’s something unpredictable, but in the end its right
This probably sums up my entire time at Symbiosis Centre for Media & Communication. I am in my last semester, and it has been nothing but a roller coaster ride. This college has changed me in ways I would have never imagined, and when I look back today at the day I decided to join SCMC, I knew I was making the right decision.
When I walked in through those doors, 3 years back, I had an idea of what I was getting myself into; however, even then, I was left astonished. I have met so many people here that come from varied backgrounds, and each one of them has something unique to offer; something distinctive to learn from. I have always tried to take what’s the best in people, and let go of the things that don’t concur to my views and values. Honestly, there was so much to take from every single one of them; stories and lessons that leave me awed even today, after three years of knowing them. It’s something unpredictable, but in the end its right.
However, one of the best things this college has given me is the friends I have today. All of the people I surround myself with have helped me in ways I could have never imagined; at times I did not even know I needed help. I came across people who constantly inspire me, teach me, and push me to be better; to be the best version of myself and I am really grateful for it. I have found partners-in-crime in my roommates, brothers in my seniors and family in my batchmates.
And I believe, I have done precisely that. I have had my fair share of ups and downs in college, but just as the likes of a rollercoaster, I have had ‘my people’ sit by me, and go through all of it just as much as I have and have never let me back down or look back. Even though it takes me a while to process that I will be leaving in four months, I know for a fact that the time I have spent here and the memories that I have made are etched in my memory so deep, they have become an integral part of me. So, in the future when I reminisce of these years, I will always know that, I had the time of my life.
